I have been a regular for years. Each time I am in Penzance I pay this lovely restaurant several visits enjoying good and freshly prepared food. The menu offers a reasonable choice of dishes. Seafood is definitely worth a try, try the perfectly prepared scallops... The proprietress gives you a warm welcome and attentive service. I can recommend Gino's Spaghetti House.

This place is a disgrace. My dog could make better Italian food. They are also alleged to keep a big chunk of the staff tips. Avoid.

Something should be done about getting this place closed down!!! The menu is nothing more than a joke book, as everything described in it, is nothing like what you get on your plate. My spaghetti bolognese was about as italian as Wayne Rooney. My girlfriend's dish, she had the treat of brown chicken with jelly on. The only decent thing about Gino's is the view!!!!

I can only say that the review from a gentleman who visits Gino's several times everytime he comes to Penzance because the food is so good went to the same restaurant us my Husband and I. I cannot imagine where the 2 reviews who were not happy went to! We had a wonderful dinner there during our weeks stay. Our only regret was we discovered it at the end of the week! Anyone who says the food is not homemade is frankly talking out of their hats! This is an authentic old style Italian restaurant with lots of mouthwatering choice! The local fish done in an Italian way is a delight, I started with fish soup which was out of this world! This is Italian food at it's best not only like Mamma made but better! More authentic than eating in Italy! All washed down with a bottle of Orivieto Classico which is our favourite Italian wine but not ofter seen these days! Just to complete the perfection the restaurant overlooks the sea and we were served by Lilianna the most charming proprietress whose attentive service deserves your business!!
I asked Lilianna for cards to put in the recommendation book at our holiday let so that others can enjoy this great place for dinner! We will be back!!
